Question: What is KozaK Auto DryWash Coth?
Answer: KozaK Auto DryWash Cloth is the easy way to safely clean and polish your car or furniture without water and without scratching! It is wonderful when used to clean and dust all types of fine furniture including finely polished woods, chrome, mirrors and lacquered pieces such as pianos.
Constructed of a unique American cotton fabric treated with an exclusive chemical formula, each KozaK Auto DryWash cloth will clean the average sized car at least 50 times – eliminating the need for 4 out of 5 “wet” car washes and the average piano 200 times. The KozaK cloth has been used by tens of millions of automobile owners, enthusiasts and restorers since 1926.
Question: How can I be sure the KozaK cloth won’t scratch my car or furniture?
Answer: Three special features of the KozaK cloth help it safely remove dust, loose dirt, road film and grime from your car’s surface or furniture without the slightest harm to its finish:
- Constructed from the finest 100% American cotton fibers using a special patented weaving process, the KozaK cloth is one of the softest materials known.
- Only the KozaK cloth has the exclusive patented double-sided deep plush napped finish designed to lock in dirt particles.
- The exclusive KozaK formula in the cloth acts like a magnet to pull the dirt particles away from your car or furniture’s surface and trap them in the billions of compartments within the cloth’s napped finish.
Question: How can I be sure I am using the KozaK cloth properly?
Answer:
- Make sure the car or furniture is completely dry before using the KozaK cloth
- Keep the KozaK cloth folded into a thick pad – do not open it up like a towel. Keep it padded. The layers of folded cloth help distribute the pressure of your hand evenly and gently across you car’s surface.
- Begin with short straight strokes (never circular) wiping lightly to remove the heavier dust and knocking the cloth frequently against your other hand to release the loose, heavy dirt from the napped fibers. Then, refold the cloth and use a different side with slightly heavier pressure (again using short straight strokes) to polish the car or furniture. The tiny particles that remain in the nap act as a polishing agent, similar to the effect of a fine jeweler’s rouge.
Question: If my car is really dirty, do I need to wash it before using the KozaK cloth?
Answer: KozaK Auto DryWash cloth will safely remove most of the loose dirt, dust, road film and grime that your car normally accumulates. However, like anything else, it is always better to start from a clean, fresh baseline.
Washing your car before you use the KozaK Auto DryWash cloth for the first time will enable you to really see how this amazing cloth can maintain the beautiful finish and shine of your car.
IMPORTANT! ALWAYS remove any caked on mud before using the KozaK Auto DryWash cloth because the mud may contain stones or large grit that will scratch your car’s finish. You should also remove road tar, grease, sticky substances, bird droppings, bugs or tree sap before using the KozaK cloth as these materials can only be removed by washing.
Remember that no amount of cleaning or polishing can replace a quality wax job, or improve a worn out and oxidized paint job. Regular use of the KozaK Auto DryWash cloth will prolong the life and beauty of any professional wax job or detailing job by many months, saving you hundreds of dollars.
Question: How do I clean the KozaK Auto DryWash cloth?
Answer: YOU DON’T! NEVER, EVER WASH OR CLEAN THE KOZAK CLOTH! For best results, just frequently knock the KozaK cloth against the palm of your hand to release the loose, heavy dirt from the napped fibers. From time to time, you should also open up the cloth, give it a good shake, and refold it into a pad and use a different portion of the cloth. If some loose threads unravel from the edge of the cloth, just snip them off.
It will get dirty! It is normal for the cloth to darken and get “dirty” with age and use. It is still safe to use as long as there is still a visible raised nap on the cloth’s surface.
Question: How many times can I use the KozaK cloth?
Answer: KozaKAsia guarantees that you will get at least 50 uses per cloth on your car under normal circumstances. Many KozaK Auto DryWash cloth users say they get more than 100 uses before they replace the cloth. It just depends upon the size of your car and how frequently you use the KozaK cloth. Used on furniture, the KozaK cloth can easily last a year or more.
Question: How do I know when the KozaK cloth is used up?
Answer: When the nap becomes hard to the touch, and appears crusted and flat, it is time to get a new one. But… don’t throw the old one away! You can still use it to clean your car wheels, hub caps, under doors, etc.
Question: Is the KozaK cloth safe to use on clear coat, fiberglass and other specialty finishes?
Answer: ABSOLUTELY! The KozaK DryWash cloth is safe to use on any car or furniture finish when used according to the instructions on the package. It works as well on modern clear-coat finishes as on the softer, older paints on classic cars. Note to detailers and auto body shops, there is no silicone or wax in the KozaK cloth. Remember, it works beautifully on your fine polished furniture as well!
Question: Will it harm my car wax job?
Answer: Absolutely not! KozaK Auto DryWash cloth provides excellent results on waxed surfaces, with no harm to the wax job. Proper waxing is an important step in protecting your car’s finish. We recommend a thorough wax job two to three times a year. Regular use of the KozaK Auto DryWash cloth will prolong the life and beauty of that expensive wax or detail job by as much as 3 months or more.
Question: Does the KozaK Auto DryWash cloth remove water spots?
Answer: Water spots can be difficult to remove, especially when they are caused by water droplets left on the paint or waxed surface in hot sunlight. If water spots remain after you have used the KozaK cloth, rub them gently with a slightly damp sponge, let the area dry completely and then polish with your KozaK cloth. If the spots still remain, they may require spot polishing.
Question: Should the KozaK cloth be used on car windows? Does it work on Chrome?
Answer: The KozaK cloth is not recommended for cleaning your car’s windshield, because the KozaK formula is not compatible with water, streaking could occur when windshield wiper fluid is used. But, it works beautifully on CHROME!
